This role focuses on high-impact, complex learning experiences that often involve external partners, workforce-aligned programs, and strategic initiatives across the Learning Enterprise portfolio. This person will collaborate with faculty, subject matter experts, product teams, and industry partners to design high-quality learning experiences delivered through a variety of platforms and modalities, including online asynchronous and synchronous immersion classes. These offerings may include Universal Learner Courses, Career and Professional Learning programs, executive education, and other learning innovations that expand access to education and career opportunities. In this role, you will apply evidence-based learning science, modern pedagogical practices, and emerging educational technologies to design engaging and effective learning experiences. Design Strategists are expected to leverage tools such as Canvas and modern authoring platforms, while also integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and automation tools into the course design and development process in ways that enhance learner experience and instructional efficiency. You will be assigned to projects across the Learning Design portfolio and frequently contribute to complex, cross-functional initiatives requiring a high degree of autonomy, stakeholder management, and design judgment. The successful candidate will design courses for asynchronous online learners and synchronous immersion learners and contribute to the ongoing improvement of design frameworks, templates, and processes. Designers will also use learner data, engagement metrics, and feedback to inform course revisions and continuous improvement. This role is based at ASU’s Tempe campus.
