About The Position

Design Specialist at ENTRUST Solutions Group, a Leidos company, will be responsible for designing overhead and underground electric utility projects to improve and strengthen the power grid. This role involves creating design packages, drawings, calculations, cost estimates, permits, and easement documentation. The specialist will review field data, maps, and utility records to develop accurate designs, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure they stay on schedule and within budget. Collaboration with engineers, project managers, clients, and utility partners is key, as is participation in meetings to discuss project progress and solutions. Adherence to utility design standards, safety requirements, and industry regulations is mandatory. The role also includes reviewing work for quality and accuracy, tracking project milestones, communicating updates, and occasionally visiting project sites for information gathering and field support.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a Technical Field or 4-6 years’ related electric utility design experience
• Proficient experience in software's: ARC FM, ARC MAP INFOR OR POLEFORMAN, AUTOCAD
