About The Position

The New Model Quality Engineer uses 3D/2D and visual inspection data to collect and analyze quality information, develop countermeasures, and oversee or lead the quality data process. The role ensures die and mold requirements are met to achieve or exceed production KPI targets and support long-term stability. The engineer also applies their knowledge and experience to future models to shorten maturation and trial events and reduce overall energy use.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent die cast, stamping, or plastics experience.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in die cast, stamping, or plastics.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of CATIA.
• Knowledge of PolyWorks.
• Knowledge of Keyence.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze quality data and develop countermeasures to meet quality targets.
• Evaluate and ensure the final quality of dies shipped to the production plant.
• Present quality results to the team and outline a path forward for non-conforming data.
• Work and interact with customers to meet customer quality targets and expectations.
• Develop part supplementals.
• Create fixture specifications for parts produced by tooling.
• Support preliminary new model development to shorten maturation.
