About The Position

EwingCole is a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm with offices across the country. Our multi-disciplinary practice is built on the core values of professional excellence, design quality and collaboration. We are seeking an ambitious Design Professional 2 to join our New York Office. As part of the architecture discipline, the Design Professional 2 contributes to project teams at all stages of design and delivery, applying technical knowledge, creative design skills, and industry best practices while accurately producing essential deliverables for projects at the direction of experienced architects and designers. This position is responsible for the generation of representational graphics, models and drawings to support design presentations and the technical delivery of projects. The Design Professional 2 brings design talent and a strong work ethic, contributing ideas and thoughtful solutions as a collaborative part of an interdisciplinary team. This person exhibits initiative and is capable of working independently on routine assignments and seeking out guidance from experienced project leaders for complex or unusual conditions. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Architecture required
  • Architectural Experience Program (AXP); in process of attaining professional registration
  • Excels in the guidelines of preceding roles including Design Professional 1

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Architecture preferred

Responsibilities

  • Composes production documentation with appropriate annotation
  • Creates renderings and sketches efficiently throughout project design
  • Applies knowledge and coordinates with engineers
  • Supports the project team in all phases of project documentation
  • References applicable codes in the development of projects
  • References company standards in the development of projects
  • Supports efforts in building placement, orientation, circulation
  • Considers the health and environmental impacts of materials used in design
  • Enhances the key aspects of a design with the addition of detail
