About The Position

The Design Production Clerk is primarily responsible for assembling gift design items for stores. This role involves assembling wedding and event favors according to customer choices, and assembling gift baskets and gift boxes based on pre-designed prototypes. The position requires a strong attention to detail, a team-first attitude, and active participation in the department's lean, continuous improvement culture. The clerk must be willing to learn new methods and support other departments as business needs arise.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated computer skills, with Excel experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated creative, artistic, and design abilities (previous floral design experience preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Create and double-check labels for accuracy, then input data into the computerized inventory system.
  • Assist with physical inventory.
  • Assist with the manufacturing of wedding and event orders.
  • Provide phone assistance to customers when the lead designer is unavailable.
  • Assemble design items for stores, create and verify labels, sticker design items, pack designs in boxes, and sticker boxes for store shipments.
  • Tie bows, use a sealer for shrinkable plastic, and use a heat gun to shrink wrap gift baskets and design items.
  • Assemble gift boxes and baskets according to prototypes, create and verify labels, and sticker boxes for stores and/or internet orders.
  • Follow GMP and HACCP regulations.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Perform daily and weekly cleanup duties, including various light janitorial tasks.
  • Support other departments periodically as needed, adapting tasks and priorities to meet business demands.
  • Contribute to lean and continuous improvement efforts by identifying waste, suggesting process improvements, and implementing more efficient work methods.
  • Accept training, coaching, and process changes without difficulty and apply new methods accurately.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate openly with teammates to foster a cooperative, team-first environment focused on shared production goals.
