About The Position

Parsons is seeking an experienced Design-Build professional with expertise in bridge projects to join our Mobility Solutions team as a Design Manager. This role is a new addition to staff and offers an exciting opportunity to work on various Alternative Project Delivery (APD) projects. Parsons is a leader in APD, providing numerous opportunities to deliver signature projects globally. Experienced professionals will support this position to deliver quality, innovative designs on time and within budget.

Requirements

4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related)
At least 20+ years of related work experience
Registered Professional Engineer
Significant experience on complex bridge projects

Nice To Haves

Design/Build Design Manager experience
Proven background of engaging with multidisciplinary design teams on challenging, high-profile projects.
Active in related professional associations such as ASBI, and DBIA

Responsibilities

Serves as a Capture Manager for APD projects, responsible for developing and executing the Win Strategy and leading Proposals.
Leads and coordinates the solving of complex structural technical issues for ongoing pursuits and projects with internal SMEs.
Serves as a Structures or Overall Design Manager for Alternative Program Delivery Design Build projects.
Ensures deliverable schedules are met.
Ensures quality management procedures are effectively implemented.
Supports technology initiatives and provides technical training and best-practice knowledge sharing to promote Parsons' brand and reputation within the bridge engineering practice area.
Identifies the staffing plan for projects and pursuits.
Identifies the need for new hires and serves as Hiring Manager for open requisitions for bridge engineers.
Identifies strategic potential bridge engineer candidates to hire and leads recruiting efforts for these key hires.
Identifies and coordinates training needs and requests for their staff.
Serves as the main point of contact for various clients and carries out Client Management Plans.
Attends key conferences for networking and brand exposure.
Serves on a committee or board for professional organizations that meet company objectives.
