About The Position

We’re looking for a design leader to shape the next chapter of Instagram Business — a team focused on Instagram's business and revenue products. This is a rare hybrid role where you’ll both lead a design team and personally drive some of the most ambiguous, high-impact work in the organization. Success in this role will be measured by the incremental revenue you unlock through smarter, more integrated and high-quality craft feed and ad experiences.

Requirements

6+ years of experience in Product Design
2+ years of design leadership experience
6+ years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content, and user research teams
Experience in building and shipping applications or software across a variety of platforms
Experience leading product direction and strategic thinking with the experience of developing product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to people and the company
Experience representing work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly communicating the goals and concepts
A portfolio that demonstrates relevant work, an understanding of best practices in product design and a track record of shipping high-quality products

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Experience with business-to-consumer marketplaces
1 year with direct reports under your guidance
Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Experience designing on mobile for large-scale consumer apps
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

Responsibilities

Manage and grow a small design team, ensuring that the team delivers against its goals
Drive innovation by inventing new, ad formats and evolving the feed surface to make ads feel more native and delightful
Tackle ambiguity head-on — from concept to execution — bringing clarity and creativity to uncharted problem spaces
Provide execution oversight across team projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and alignment with business goals
