About The Position

This is a Direct Hire, fully onsite Electrical Design Technician position located in Salem, Southern NH. Relocation assistance is available. The role involves debugging and design validation of board and system-level electronic designs, with a major focus on electronics design validation testing. Responsibilities include conducting tests on mechanical, electrical, and optical components, subsystems, and systems, documenting experimental conditions and results, and building prototypes and test fixtures. The technician will also interface with external vendors for complex parts, inspect incoming parts, manage lab equipment, and effectively interact with the technical team to foster a safe, fun, and productive work environment. Cable design and verification are also part of the role.

Requirements

An associate’s degree and 10+ years of professional experience
Experience reworking PCBs, solder to add or remove components
Junior level layout and design skills
Experience with at least one data acquisition system
Use of lab equipment (Oscilloscope, DVM, Function generator, soldering station, etc.)
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
Debug under the guidance of an Engineer
Attention to details
Eagerness to learn new skills and new tools
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
MSOffice tools

Nice To Haves

Altium designer
Simple mechanical machining skills
Some 3D mechanical CAD experience
Programming of motor drives

Responsibilities

Debug and design validation of board and system level electronic designs
