About The Position

Anthropologie Home Design is seeking creative, curious, and passionate design students to join our Summer 2027 Design Internship Program. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic, collaborative creative environment while contributing to the design and development of products across our portfolio of distinctive lifestyle brands. Interns will work alongside experienced designers and cross-functional partners, gaining exposure to the creative process from concept through execution. Depending on their area of focus, interns may have the opportunity to contribute to research and trend development, concepting, design development, technical execution, presentations, and other aspects of the product creation process. We are hiring Summer 2027 Design Interns across a variety of disciplines, including: Decorative Accessories Design, Textile Design: Fibers & Fabric, Surface Design: Print & Pattern, Color Design, Functional Decor & Lighting Design. This program is designed for students who are eager to learn, bring a strong creative point of view, collaborate with others, and contribute to an evolving brand and design landscape. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong creative thinking, attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in the brand and design industry.

Requirements

  • Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in industrial design or a similar field is preferred.
  • Experience using design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in AI programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop original concepts and designs across decorative accessories, textiles, prints, patterns, functional décor, and lighting.
  • Create cohesive color palettes, print stories, patterns, and product collections aligned with brand direction and market trends.
  • Research trends in interiors, fashion, materials, color, and consumer lifestyles to inform design direction.
  • Develop sketches, mood boards, concept presentations, colorways, and design specifications.
  • Explore materials, finishes, techniques, and manufacturing processes to bring concepts to life.
  • Collaborate with product development, merchandising, sourcing, and other creative partners from concept through production.
  • Refine designs based on feedback while maintaining a strong and consistent creative point of view.
  • Ensure designs balance aesthetics, functionality, quality, manufacturability, and commercial viability.
  • Contribute to seasonal design direction, collection development, and visual storytelling.
  • Maintain organized design files, artwork, specifications, and presentation materials.
