The Hardware Design Integrity (HWDI) department enables program execution quality and on-time-delivery by ensuring integrity, compliance, security and process efficiency of our technical data, designs and systems. HWDI is part of the Product Integrity center, alongside Configuration and Data Management (CMDM). The Design Integrity team is looking to add multiple Design Integrity Checkers to the team. This opportunity is onsite in McKinney, Texas (beautiful suburb near Dallas and Plano). What You Will Do (Please note they are flexible for people with a mechanical engineering or electrical engineering background but must meet the must have qualifications for one) Mechanical Design Checker: Perform design verification and validation of traditional Mechanical 2D Drawings as well as “Model-Based” Design TDPs. Ensure that mechanical design documentation and models consist of both complex and simple machined parts, castings, and other fabricated items. Ensure that mechanical design drawings, documentation, and associated electronic data output files used for production and / or procurement will undergo a comprehensive verification and validation review for design producibility and data integrity, quality, and consistency. Confirm that mechanical traditional and Model Based Designs are checked for form, fit, and function to program unique requirements while conforming to specific Company and Industry Specifications & Standards. Confirm that the synchronization of design representation (drawings) with the design database models from which they were derived, is authenticated. Overall, ensuring that the design verification and validation follows ASME Y14.41 and MIL-STD-31000 standards. OR Electrical Design Checker: Providing a formal, systematic, design verification and validation of traditional Electrical 2D TDPs. Electrical TDPs will encompass the circuit card assembly (or flexible circuit assembly), printed wiring board, and schematic design representation (drawings); including electronic Bills of Material (eBOMs), and design models developed using computer aided design tools. Applications that will be used for Electrical Checks: EXPEDITION-DxDESIGNER (Extract latest Schematic), BLUEPRINT (Extract latest CCA and PWB), VALOR (PWB – Dims, Holes for Board Layer StackUp), and EXCEL for eBOM and other electrical change comparison software. Electrical Model-Based Engineering (MBE) concepts and electronic Bills of Material (eBOMs) experience. Support reviews of Software documents per Program Requirements. Perform design verification and validation of traditional 2D Drawings as well as “Model-Based” Design TDPs. Confirm that the synchronization of design representation (drawings) with the design database models from which they were derived, is authenticated. Overall, ensuring that the design verification and validation is in compliance with ASME Y14.41 and MIL-STD-31000 standards. The selected candidate may (with training) also be responsible for verification and validation of the opposing design TDP mentioned above.
