About The Position

People leader managing a team of design engineers and ensuring successful execution of eBOS product development and engineering deliverables. Oversees project assignments, prioritization, and performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering discipline (ABET-accredited).
  • 8–12 years of engineering experience, including 2–3 years in a leadership role.
  • Solid understanding of eBOS products and manufacturing requirements.
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable standards (NEC, UL, IEEE, NFPA, ASCE, AISC).

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop design engineers in technical skills, processes, and career growth.
  • Assign resources, review work, and ensure timely engineering releases for assigned projects.
  • Oversee design reviews, compliance documentation, and engineering packages.
  • Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Serviceability (DFS), and Design for Installation (DFI) principles within product designs.
  • Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across product lines.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure design feasibility and supplier capability.
  • Maintain alignment with company standards and applicable codes (NEC, UL, IEEE, NFPA).
  • Ensure alignment of engineering outputs with company vision: safe, defect-free, reliable products delivered with process discipline.
  • Drive new product development aligned to PPV’s roadmap (e.g., pile caps, substation control centers, IPC, and other structural/electrical systems).
  • Ensure concepts progress through design reviews, prototyping, certification, manufacturability, and deployment.
