About The Position

MicroMetl Corporation is currently the largest independent manufacturer of accessories for commercial heating and cooling equipment. We have been forged with over 60+ years of industry experience and service and continue to grow around the regions, including the mid-west and south-west. We are seeking a Design Engineer to add to our Engineering team in Sparks, NV. This role is a hands-on and directly impactful engineering position that conducts full-cycle analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop designs for new or modified products. They will use their problem solving, troubleshooting, and project management skills interacting with employees on the production floor to discuss potential problems and design modifications, prepare or direct preparation of prototype products or systems and layout with detailed drawings/schematics, direct and coordinate the manufacturing of prototype products or systems, plan and develop experimental test programs, and provide onsite technical and installation assistance on implemented products and systems, as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or related engineering field.
  • Four or more years of direct or related experience, or combination of continued education and direct/related work experience.
  • Electrical background to support our product.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SolidWorks is preferred, or similar parametric modeling software like NX, Autodesk Inventor, and Catia is a plus.

Responsibilities
