About The Position

The Design Engineer will provide E-Plan support by designing, documenting, and editing redline documents, including 3D models, assemblies, bills of materials, and schematics. They will also provide AutoCAD support by designing, documenting, and editing redline documents, including schematics, detailed drawings, and customer drawing packages. The role involves designing and documenting projects based on sold orders using E-Plan, SolidWorks, and/or AutoCAD. The Design Engineer will support the manufacturing department by creating and maintaining work instructions and test documentation for production projects, and will oversee projects on the manufacturing floor in a technical support role, resolving drawing, BOM, and related issues as they arise. This position will also act as a liaison between customers and CES to resolve drawing, BOM, and other technical issues, and will assist in the sales cycle by providing engineering guidance on product selection, design considerations, and best practices. Additionally, the Design Engineer will support customers and sales staff in product selection using technical sizing tools and resources, and maintain technical expertise by attending workshops, reviewing technical publications, and building professional networks.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge and proficiency in E-Plano
  • Expert knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Expert knowledge and proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Expert knowledge and proficiency in UL508A
  • Expert knowledge and proficiency in M.S. Office suite
  • Expert knowledge and proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Expert knowledge and proficiency in NEC, IEC code compliance
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Able to work independently
