The role supports safety, security, compliance, quality, and environmental protection through ethical and compliant engineering practices, risk identification and mitigation, and adherence to applicable policies, laws, regulations, standards, and product requirements. It maintains design intent and configuration control, documents engineering decisions, supports investigations into recurring issues, and identifies opportunities for permanent corrective improvements. The engineer performs design, analysis, documentation, calculations, design reviews, technical investigations, troubleshooting, and product lifecycle activities for existing products and equipment. The role supports manufacturing, assembly, inspection, testing, repair, and delivery, and evaluates nonconformances, deviations, repairs, supplier issues, component changes, obsolescence, reliability improvements, and field inquiries within assigned guidelines and authority. It reads and interprets drawings, GD&T, schematics, specifications, test procedures, inspection data, and other technical documentation, and creates or revises controlled product documentation. Work is planned and completed with consideration for requirements, quality, schedule, cost, dependencies, and operational priorities. Scheduled after-hours and weekend support may be required for urgent Manufacturing and R&M activities. The position communicates technical information, requirements, results, risks, and recommendations to colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders; documents work clearly; and escalates concerns or uncertainties to appropriate reviewers. It uses company resources responsibly, works within approved budgets and financial policies, considers cost and operational impacts without compromising safety or quality, and contributes technical input to estimates, business cases, budgets, and improvement opportunities when required.
