Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Nuclear Engineering
- 1–3 years of experience in design engineering
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, online platforms, and engineering software tools
- Strong ability to interpret and analyze technical drawings and documentation
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Authorization to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Interpret technical specifications and apply relevant industry standards to meet custom design requirements
- Develop equipment designs focused on safety, performance, reliability, cost efficiency, serviceability, and competitiveness
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support sound technical decisions
- Review and optimize manufacturing drawings for accuracy and fabrication efficiency
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and procedures for customer submittments
- Select materials, components, and purchased parts, including drafting procurement specifications for custom items
- Evaluate supplier quotations for technical compliance and overall value
- Develop testing procedures and acceptance criteria to validate equipment performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot issues encountered during manufacturing, testing, or field operation
- Maintain project schedules, identify risks, and prioritize key milestones
- Track material and labor costs to ensure alignment with project budgets
- Assist with estimating and preparing equipment proposals for bid packages
