About The Position

This role involves designing and creating 3D models, 2D General Assembly drawings, and BOMs for plastic injection hot runner systems for customers using SW 2024. The Design Engineer will also support problem-solving between customers and MS, monitor projects, distribute project data, and coordinate the transmission of engineering data to manufacturing departments and outside vendors. A key aspect of the role includes managing PLM data.

Requirements

Approximately 5 years of design experience that included the use and interpretation of engineering design drawings, 3D models, with a focus on toolmaking, special machine construction or injection molding.
Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling and drafting familiarity (Solid Works, Creo, I-Deas, etc.).
Familiarity with ANSI Y.14.5 and/or ISO 1101 GD&T standards.
Excel skills required, able to learn new software applications.
Team orientated.

Responsibilities

Design/Create 3D models, 2D General Assembly drawings, and BOM’s of plastic injection hot runner systems for customers using SW 2024.
Support solving problems and open questions between customers and MS.
Monitoring of projects and distribution of project data & information to relevant departments – demonstrated expertise in PLM data management (TC).
Communication/Completion of project revisions and changes.
Coordinate transmission of engineering data to local and global manufacturing departments as well as outside vendors.
