About The Position

Intuitive Machines is seeking a mid-level Design Engineer to support its growing Lunar Lander Team. This on-site position in Houston, Texas, works with a cross-functional team on the development, manufacture, testing, and on-orbit operation of flight and ground-support hardware, including Lunar Lander structures and secondary systems. The successful candidate will contribute to the design of Lunar Lander parts and assemblies, with opportunities to take on as much responsibility as practical. Adaptability in a rapidly changing environment and a desire to learn emerging technologies are important.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design or a related discipline; or a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and at least 3 years of experience.
Experience with CAD software such as Creo or SolidWorks.
Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 and related standards.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Three to five years of skill using SolidWorks and/or Creo.
Understanding of design methodology, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing basics, and manufacturing techniques.
Experience with carbon fiber or carbon fiber sandwich panels.
Familiarity with or exposure to NASA and Military Specification standards.
