We're looking for a Design Engineer to design the tools Atmosphere's customers run their businesses on: the TV interface that reaches over 150 million viewers a month, the app business owners use to run their devices, and the web app their teams use to manage them. You'll work in a small pod alongside engineering, reporting to our Staff Design Engineer on the Product team. There are no hand-offs. You frame the problem, design the flows, build the high-fidelity UI, and open the pull request: production Vue and TypeScript in the same repo as the rest of engineering, reviewed to the same bar. Once it ships, you watch how it performs and iterate. We would rather you use AI code agents to get from idea to working software in a day than spend a week writing a spec for someone else to build. This role is a true blend of design and engineering. Design is at its core: you decide what to build and how it should feel, rather than implementing someone else's spec. You're also responsible for the code you land. We want someone who owns both sides, not someone who designs and hands off, or who writes code without a point of view on the product. This role is on-site in Austin, TX, and requires being in the office 4–5 days a week. When submitting your application, please be sure to included a portfolio or portfolio link. Profiles without portfolios will not be considered.
