DCCM is seeking a Design Engineer to join their Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) group. Requirements
- Proficient with the use of Microstation, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D software.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize projects.
- Ability to learn local and state design standards and procedures.
- Complex data interpretation skills.
- Adapt new concepts quickly while working under pressure.
- An undergraduate or master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Nice To Haves
- Texas EIT Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform civil engineering design calculations.
- Develop utility plans utilizing Microstation, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D software for Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Projects.
- Conduct field visits to job sites and gather necessary information for clients.
- Work within a team to produce engineering data for the development of documents that achieve client goals and objectives while meeting schedule commitments and budget requirements.
- Represent the Company in professional, civic, and political organizations and activities.
- Engage in business development efforts within the Houston area on behalf of the Company.
- Develop and deepen relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Represent the Company in client meetings when required.
- Learn SUE Technologies, electromagnetic equipment, and Trimble equipment.
