About The Position

Design real projects across Colorado, not just drawings. Land development projects you can actually point to in the field. Grading, utilities, stormwater, and site design that shape how communities grow. A hands-on engineering role with real mentorship and real PE growth. At R&R Engineers-Surveyors, our Design Engineers are involved in much more than redlines and production work. They help drive projects from concept through construction. You’ll work on residential subdivisions, commercial developments, and utility coordination projects across Colorado’s fast-growing communities. Expect a mix of technical design in Civil 3D, real problem-solving, and collaboration with municipalities, clients, and senior engineers. If you like variety, practical engineering, and seeing your work get built, this is the kind of role that stays interesting long-term.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering
• EI required; PE strongly supported or actively pursuing
• 3-6 years of land development experience
• Strong Civil 3D skills
• Colorado project experience preferred
• Strong communication + problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Design grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater systems
• Prepare Civil 3D construction plans
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, consultants, and teammates
• Support project schedules, submittals, and QA/QC reviews
• Solve design challenges before construction starts
• Assist with permitting + agency submittals
• Mentor younger staff + continue growing your leadership skills
• Help deliver projects from early design through construction support
