About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer with 2-3 years of mechanical design experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess strong SolidWorks proficiency, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities and projects frequently evolve. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of product development and manufacturing support initiatives while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative design solutions and improve production processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing support.
  • Strong proficiency with CAD, including part modeling, assemblies, and detailed drawing creation.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel internationally when required. <5%

Nice To Haves

  • SolidWorks Experience.
  • Familiarity with engineering change management processes.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, 3D-printing, stamping, and assembly.
  • Experience supporting prototype builds, product testing, and production implementation.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Develop mechanical designs from concept through production while considering performance, manufacturability, cost, quality, and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and operations teams to support project objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining project schedules.
  • Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering change documentation, and technical reports.
  • Support prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide day-to-day engineering support to manufacturing operations, assisting with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production-related issues.
  • Develop and implement design changes, engineering corrections, and continuous improvement initiatives to support production goals.
  • Assist in resolving design and manufacturing issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Effectively balance multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment while maintaining a strong focus on execution and results.
