About The Position

This is a product design role for heavy off-road mobile equipment and will be tasked with developing and applying reliable engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems. The role involves assessing and prioritizing incoming project requests, implementing technical projects in the design, development, testing and documentation of heavy off-road mobile equipment products, and performing design and analysis of steel and aluminum components, welded structures, and electrical and hydraulic control systems. The engineer will develop new designs from initial concept to implementation, improve existing designs, and verify and document compliance with applicable global and regional standards. Responsibilities also include specifying and creating procedures for component and machine testing, working closely with the global design engineering team, documenting designs in SolidWorks, verifying designs using analytical methods and FEA software, creating and maintaining complete machine product structures, and researching, specifying, and testing manufactured and purchased parts. A focus on design for manufacturability and collaboration with global manufacturing teams for product and process improvements are also key aspects of this role.
