About The Position

We are seeking a Design Engineer 4 to join our team. This role involves designing foundry tooling using Creo software, adhering to best practices for the No-bake molding process, with the goal of enhancing quality and reducing lead times for tooling construction. The position requires expertise in various foundry engineering and design aspects, including tooling quotation, casting defect analysis, pattern and core box design, and CAD modeling. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, and visa sponsorship is available for eligible individuals. Requirements

• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree.
• Foundry Engineer Experience (Tools Quotation, Casting Scrap defects analysis & resolution, Foundry process knowledge, no-bake process, cold box process).
• Foundry tooling Design Experience (Pattern and core boxes, Complex modeling, intuitive knowledge of P/L, offsets, clearances, layout in tool build, no-bake process, cold box process).
• Creo modeling and flow simulation analysis using SolidCast.
• Strong CAD skills (Creo preferred).
• Machining print reading and geometric tolerance understanding.
• Casting simulation experiences (SolidCast prefers).

Nice To Haves

• CNC milling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design foundry tooling in Creo software using standards and best practices for the No-bake molding process to improve quality and reduce lead time on tooling construction.
• RFQ tooling.
• Design New Pattern Tooling.
• Resolve casting issues.
• Re-gate.
• Simulate.
• Perform all other tasks as needed.
