About The Position

This role supports the design and development of tooling used to produce metal stampings. It bridges engineering and production by translating customer designs into functional tooling, programs, and processes that can be efficiently built and run on the shop floor. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to learn, with strong CAD skills. This position offers opportunities for growth into lead engineering or advanced design roles.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field preferred
Equivalent hands-on experience with CAD/CAM or CNC programming considered
Experience in manufacturing or tooling environments is a plus
Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or CAM software (such as CAMWorks) preferred
Understanding of CNC machining and tooling concepts is a plus

Responsibilities

Create and maintain tooling designs using CAD software (primarily SolidWorks)
Develop detailed drawings for new tooling and tool modifications
Support the transition and standardization of design systems and software
Generate CNC programs and support machining processes
Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure designs are manufacturable
Interpret customer prints and translate them into tooling concepts and designs
Assist in building routers and documentation for production processes
Revise and improve existing designs for efficiency, quality, and performance
