About The Position

Supports all phases of the design process, including concept development, interior architecture, material and finish selections, technical drawing development, and project documentation. Supports the design and development of bespoke aircraft interiors that balance aesthetics, functionality, safety, and manufacturability. Assists in creating design concepts through research, sketching, inspiration imagery, mood boards, and presentation materials. Works closely with Designers and Design Integrators to create and revise floor plans, interior elevations, sections, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Rhino. Develops an understanding of aircraft interior design standards, certification requirements, and Greenpoint design processes. Collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Installation teams to support design development and problem-solving. Incorporates design feedback and accurately implements drawing revisions and redlines. Assists with material, finish, fixture, and hardware research, evaluation, and specification. Supports the maintenance and organization of Material Specification documents, material libraries, sample inventories, and design resources. Prepares presentation materials including drawings, renderings, material boards, finish palettes, and design narratives. Participates in design reviews, technical reviews, and cross-functional meetings throughout the project lifecycle. Travels to inspect products, attends trade shows and meets with clients, as required. Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being at work on time and working full shifts. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.), a minimum of 2 years’ experience and/or training in architecture or interior design; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD 2D.
  • Basic knowledge and methodology of drafting interior elevations, cross sections, and detailing required.
  • Strong visual communication and presentation skills.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to travel, as required.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Employees working on programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations must qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee for legal compliance purposes.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace background and aircraft interior industry experience preferred.
  • Intermediate experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino and MS Office Suite skills is preferred.
