About The Position

SPF Screens & Awnings, part of the Hunter Douglas family of brands, is a leader in retractable awnings and motorized sun shades, transforming outdoor living spaces. We are seeking proven sales professionals for a Design Consultant role, offering a steady stream of pre-set, high-quality appointments and strong marketing support. This is a closer's role in a performance-driven, high-ticket environment, not a training position. As a Design Consultant, you will conduct consultative presentations to homeowners, driving buying outcomes for premium outdoor living solutions. Top performers consistently achieve high close rates, generate significant monthly sales, and operate a strong one-call-close process with disciplined follow-up.

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of high-ticket, consultative sales experience.
  • Proven track record of consistently overachieving revenue goals, ideally in a commission-based role.
  • Ability to thrive in a performance-driven environment with clear metrics and take full ownership of results.
  • Confident, polished, and highly persuasive in the home, presenting premium pricing.
  • Ability to manage time, territory, and follow-up effectively.
  • In-home sales background is a plus.
  • Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and a willingness to travel within assigned territory.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs & utilize a ladder for measurements.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional, consultative presentations focused on value, not price.
  • Confidently ask for the sale and drive one-call closes whenever possible.
  • Own your pipeline from first appointment through installation, following up strategically with issued quotes to maximize close rate.
  • Generate additional revenue through referrals, repeat business, and local partnerships.
  • Support nearby territories when needed.
  • Maintain expert-level CRM pipeline management and communication standards.
