About The Position

This internship involves using Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) systems to prepare documents and create drawings from supplied sketches and instructions. The role supports Production, Product Development, and Engineering projects. The intern will work closely with Maintenance and Engineering to create reverse-engineered dimensioned OEM parts drawings for emergency replacements. They will also design small retrofit assemblies to improve production equipment based on sketches and direction from Engineering or Production, potentially overseeing fabrication and installation under supervision. Additionally, the intern will prepare 2-D architectural layouts or product drawings in cooperation with Process Engineer, Project Engineer, or Product Development personnel, and may assist other design personnel on larger projects. A key responsibility includes maintaining and improving the drawing control and management system with other CAD/Design personnel to protect company intellectual property. The role also requires ensuring OSHA and company procedural compliance in personal activities.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) systems.
• Ability to prepare documents and create drawings from sketches and instructions.
• Limited equipment/process knowledge.
• Ability to work closely with Maintenance and Engineering.
