About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Design and Drafting Manager to lead a team of design and drafting professionals within the nuclear energy sector. This role involves supervising the production of detailed technical drawings and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in design and drafting within the nuclear, energy, or heavy industry sectors.
At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
Associate's Degree in a related field.
Expertise in 2D and 3D drafting tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, and MicroStation.
Experience in electrical design and engineering management.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the oil/gas and energy sectors is highly preferred, with a strong preference for a nuclear background.
Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of design and drafting professionals to ensure high performance and career development.
Coordinate design activities for multiple engineering projects to ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings and specifications.
Review and ensure accuracy and compliance of technical drawings, plans, and designs created by the team.
Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to define design requirements and address any challenges.
Ensure all designs comply with nuclear industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to verify that designs meet technical specifications and client requirements.
Utilize industry-specific design and drafting software to oversee and manage design work.
Prepare and maintain documentation of design work, including drawing revisions and project progress.
