About The Position

The Design and Coaching Specialist ensures that our programming makes a measurable impact on teacher practice and instructional leadership at the school level. This role blends intensive coaching with high quality professional learning design. Key elements of the role may include: Providing direct coaching to teachers, teacher leaders, school leaders, and instructional leadership teams Conducting classroom observations and delivering actionable curriculum specific feedback Modeling lessons or instructional strategies when needed Facilitating unit internalization sessions, PLCs, and instructional planning conversations Designing curriculum aligned professional learning tools, sessions, and resources Supporting schools in analyzing student work, instructional data, and assessment results Aligning professional learning design to real time coaching insights Building campus capacity to sustain HQIM implementation beyond the grant period Supporting change management associated with curriculum adoption This role ensures that school based support translates into stronger instructional practice and measurable student impact.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of professional experience in education, including teaching and or instructional leadership
  • Demonstrated experience coaching teachers, teacher leaders, or school leaders
  • Experience designing and facilitating professional learning aligned to curriculum and observable instructional practice
  • Experience analyzing student work and classroom data to inform coaching decisions
  • Deep experience implementing high quality instructional materials, especially Bluebonnet
  • Strong relationship building skills and instructional credibility
  • Candidates must reside in Texas.
  • This role requires regular travel to partner districts and schools.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with LIFT and or LASO initiatives
