The BDS Electrical Capability is seeking a visionary and experienced Electrical Design Architect and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our innovative engineering team. You will collaborate directly with a global, multicultural team of engineers, as well as pilots, customers, suppliers, regulators, and various internal stakeholders, including lab operations, flight operations, logistics, financial operations, feature strategy, and leadership across all Boeing military airplane programs. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 10+ years of experience working in an electrical design engineering environment.
  • 10+ years of experience performing complex systems engineering or systems integration work.
  • The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and documents capability requirements, process re-architecture, standard software tools and processes for model-based system electrical design
  • Lead and collaborate with BDS programs to develop Siemens Capital capabilities and/or integration requirements
  • Lead collaboration with software suppliers to drive electrical capabilities and solutions
  • Champion utilization of Siemens Capital tool suite for all electrical engineering design abstractions
  • Support the deployment/maintenance/continuous improvements of the Electrical Design Integration capability roadmap
  • Provide electronic and electrical system solutions to BDS program design problems and inefficiencies
  • Research specific technology advances for potential application to customer and company business needs
  • Architect 3D modeling processes and tools that integrate with electrical systems engineering, harness design engineering, and harness manufacturing
