The California Desert Studies Consortium, established in 1974, is an academic collaboration among seven California State University campuses. Its mission is to foster understanding and appreciation of the California deserts through a program that includes instruction, research, and special programs. The Consortium is seeking an exceptional individual to join its team as the Desert Studies Lead Cook (Cook II Lead). This role involves planning, organizing, and preparing meals for guests visiting the remote field station during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, an energetic mind, and demonstrate highly ethical practices, with a commitment to inclusivity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.
