About The Position

At LifeNet Health, the Dermis Processing Support Technician plays a critical role in the organization's mission to save lives, restore health, and bring hope to patients and families worldwide. This position is essential for transitioning donor gifts into lifesaving and health-restoring allografts for patients globally. The work directly contributes to life-changing outcomes by performing all aspects of circulating and in-process documentation of tissues and equipment/materials within a FDA-regulated environment.

Requirements

  • High School or GED required
  • Zero years of work experience is required
  • Able to perform tasks thoroughly and with care; checks work to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Able to convey information verbally and in writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Computer Software, Databases
  • Able to prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Required to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs. for the duration of the shift
  • Must wear personal protective equipment to include: surgical gowns, masks, visors or goggles and caps.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tissue circulating support for all processing rooms, including obtaining necessary equipment/tools/items, preparing processing materials, and preparing samples for transport.
  • Perform set-up, break-down, and terminal cleaning events for all processing rooms.
  • Clean and inspect general areas as needed, including the removal and documentation of post-processing materials and forms and bio-hazardous waste.
  • Inventory and organize supplies and equipment necessary for processing.
  • Perform environmental monitoring (touch plating of clean rooms and general areas).
  • Prepare processing materials.
  • Order and stock supplies and equipment for clean rooms.
  • Monitor temperatures and maintain specified equipment (freezers, refrigerators, and incubators) as required.
