About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Dermatology Veterinary Technician. We are very proactive in supporting our technician team to advance their careers. We have many specialized technicians in Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Emergency/Critical Care.

Requirements

• Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S. and not require future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with different people in high stress situations
• Triage and obtain patient history
• Perform venipuncture and placing intravenous catheters
• Utilize Dermatology terms
• Swab for Otic Cytology, and ear mite preparation
• Prepare for Skin Biopsy
• Recognize alopecia, nodules and tumors
• Perform Anesthesia monitoring
• Perform CPR
• Perform radiographs
• Perform diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients
• Be familiar and proficient with aseptic techniques
• Be familiar with laboratory procedures and practices
