About The Position

This role involves providing comprehensive medical care under the supervision of licensed or attending physicians and other medical professionals. The physician will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to diagnose, treat, and prevent health conditions. Applicants must have successfully matched with Marshfield Clinic through the applicable NRMP match process. The role requires documenting client's/patient's information for evaluation, establishing and modifying therapeutic plans as necessary, and utilizing appropriate age-related treatments and evaluations. The physician will demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment, potentially treating individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders. Documentation must adhere to departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements, demonstrating a level of treatment associated with their specialty. Responsibilities include preventing, diagnosing, and medically and surgically managing diseases, disorders, and injuries. This involves performing and interpreting thorough problem-focused history and physical exams, formulating appropriate diagnoses, and performing or ordering diagnostic studies. The physician will formulate and implement management plans, including direct participation in patient evaluation and management, and assess and revise treatment plans as necessary. Comprehensive medical history and physical examinations, including pre-operative assessments, will be performed. The role also includes formulating differential diagnoses, recognizing the need for additional diagnostic studies, and implementing management plans with appropriate therapeutic interventions, consultations, referrals, and health promotion/education. Practice must be conducted with professionalism, compassion, and concern in a legal, ethical, and moral fashion.

Requirements

  • Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Successful passing of USMLE or COMLEX exams required.
  • Hold an unencucumbered Resident training license for applicable state(s).
  • License must be in good standing by the respective state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications or obtained within 10 days of hire for all resident specialties, except Peds and Med-Peds.
  • Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications or obtained within 10 days of hire.

  • Demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients/patients.
  • May treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnosis and disorders.
  • Demonstrate documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate level of treatment associated with their specialty provided to their clients/patients.
  • Prevent, diagnose, and medically and surgically manage diseases, disorders, and injuries.
  • Perform and interpret the findings of a thorough problem-focused history and physical exam.
  • Formulate an appropriate diagnosis and/or differential diagnosis.
  • Perform (and/or order) and interpret appropriate diagnostic studies, including, diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests.
  • Formulate and implement an appropriate plan of management, including, direct participation in the evaluation and management of patients in a healthcare setting.
  • Assess the treatment plan and revise it as necessary.
  • Perform and interpret the findings of comprehensive medical history and physical examinations (including pre-operative history and physical examination).
  • Formulate an appropriate differential diagnosis of the patient's general medical problem(s).
  • Recognize the need for (and/or order) additional diagnostic studies, when indicated.
  • Formulate and implement an appropriate plan of management, when indicated, including appropriate therapeutic intervention, appropriate consultations and/or referrals, and appropriate general medical health promotion and education.
  • Practice with professionalism, compassion, and concern in a legal, ethical, and moral fashion.
