Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in a medical or dermatology front desk/receptionist role preferred
- Familiarity with medical insurance verification and co-pay collection
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and general computer skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume clinic setting
- Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented with a positive demeanor
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner at the front desk
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays and patient balances
- Answer multi-line phone systems, respond to inquiries, and route calls appropriately
- Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information in the EMR system
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance providers as needed
- Ensure the waiting area and front desk remain organized and presentable
