About The Position

Carilion Clinic and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine are seeking an experienced physician-leader to lead the development, accreditation, and ongoing excellence of their Dermatology Residency Program. The role combines clinical practice, graduate medical education, and academic growth. The director will oversee ACGME program development and accreditation, shape the curriculum and resident experience, and recruit and mentor residents and faculty. The position also works closely with Carilion Clinic leadership and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine to advance academic excellence, while maintaining a balanced clinical practice in a growing, multispecialty academic department.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certification in Dermatology.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience.
• At least 1 year of documented experience as a core faculty member for an ACGME-accredited dermatology program.
• Eligibility for unrestricted Virginia medical licensure.
• Demonstrated respect for others and outstanding professionalism.
