Permanent | Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (1 year recent Dermatology experience required) | Wilmington, North Carolina
About The Position
TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time permanent opportunity with a growing rural health dermatology practice in North Carolina. This position focuses exclusively on medical dermatology and offers the opportunity to build long-term patient relationships while expanding access to dermatologic care in underserved communities. The practice is rural health and community-focused, with a modern outpatient clinical setting. Providers will work independently onsite, with a supervising Board-Certified Dermatologist available remotely. This role is ideal for experienced, self-directed providers comfortable practicing independently and utilizing the Cloudcraft EMR system.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program
- Active North Carolina NP or PA license
- National certification required
- Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience (post clinical rotations) under a Board-Certified Dermatologist
- Strong procedural and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Must be enrolled or have prior enrollment in Medicare/Medicaid
- DCNP or CAQ‑Derm credentials or eligible to complete within 12 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with biopsies, cryotherapy, and lesion removal
- Familiarity with dermatoscopy and EMR systems
- Interest in rural healthcare and continuity of care
- Prior independent dermatology practice experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dermatologic evaluations and full-body skin exams
- Diagnose and manage: Acne, Eczema, Psoriasis, Rosacea, Dermatitis, Fungal infections, Rashes, Skin cancers and precancerous lesions
- Perform dermatologic procedures including: Shave biopsies, Punch biopsies, Excisional biopsies, Cryotherapy, Lesion removal, Wound care management
- Interpret dermatopathology and diagnostic testing
- Develop treatment plans collaboratively with supervising physicians
- Prescribe medications and therapies
- Provide patient education on skin health and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation
