Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical assistant role or clinical setting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, especially related to dermatology.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting medical histories accurately.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are ready.
- Perform basic lab tests and manage specimen collection for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain precise and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and facilitate effective communication within the clinic.
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and skincare maintenance.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary medical supplies.
