Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related healthcare role is highly desirable.
- Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer software.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States in a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by accurately taking vitals and medical histories.
- Assist physicians during dermatology examinations and procedures, ensuring readiness of all necessary tools and equipment.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, complying with all relevant healthcare standards and regulations.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and facilitate effective communication within the clinical environment.
- Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and skin care routines.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and sufficiently stocked with medical supplies.
- Assist with social media presence and community engagement as directed.
