Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant or equivalent clinical experience is preferred.
- Understanding of medical terminology, particularly relating to dermatology.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for patient and team interactions.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and common office software is advantageous.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States in a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and detailed medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and dermatologic procedures by providing necessary clinical support.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and handle specimen collection and processing accurately.
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Schedule patient appointments and facilitate effective communication within the clinical team.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and appropriate skincare routines.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and adequately stocked with medical supplies.
