Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly in dermatology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient engagement.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by accurately taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available.
- Perform basic lab tests and manage the collection and preparation of specimens for analysis.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to regulations and privacy standards.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and manage effective communication within the office.
- Educate patients regarding their treatment plans, medications, and skincare practices.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary medical supplies.
- May participate in supporting the clinic’s social media presence as directed, including gathering content and sharing clinic-approved updates.
