About The Position

Riva Dermatology is looking for a dedicated Dermatology Medical Assistant to join their team in Cornelius, NC. They provide comprehensive skin and aesthetic wellness services, including medical dermatology, skin cancer care, and cosmetic treatments. The team is committed to helping patients look and feel their best through compassionate, high-quality care.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Understanding of medical terminology, especially in dermatology.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients and staff.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States in a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

Preparing patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories
Assisting providers during examinations and procedures
Preparing instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms
Conducting basic laboratory tests and handling specimens for analysis
Maintaining accurate, confidential patient records
Coordinating patient scheduling and office communications
Educating patients about treatments, medications, and appropriate skincare
Keeping examination rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked
