Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical healthcare setting is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, particularly dermatology-related terms.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and collecting detailed medical histories.
- Assist physicians with examinations and dermatological procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is ready.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimen preparation for lab analysis.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications efficiently.
- Provide patient education related to treatments, medications, and appropriate skincare techniques.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with required supplies.
