About The Position

We are looking for a compassionate and clinically confident Dermatology APP to provide high-quality dermatologic care to patients in a supportive private-practice setting. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in general dermatology, enjoys working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff, and is motivated to build lasting patient relationships within a thriving community practice. Integrated Dermatology is seeking an experienced Dermatology Advanced Practice Provider — Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner — to join a well-established, full-service general dermatology practice in Groton, Connecticut. This busy coastal Connecticut practice provides comprehensive medical dermatology care in a collaborative, patient-focused environment supported by an on-site dermatologist, a Mohs surgeon, and an experienced clinical and administrative team. The practice is affiliated with Integrated Dermatology, one of the nation’s largest independent dermatology groups. Integrated Dermatology is patient focused and provider driven, offering operational and back-office support that allows providers to focus on delivering exceptional dermatologic care while maintaining a strong commitment to clinical quality and patient experience.

Requirements

  • Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner eligible to practice in the state of Connecticut.
  • Minimum of 24 months of general dermatology patient care experience as a mid-level provider required.
  • Strong clinical judgment and commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented dermatology practice.
  • Interest in medical dermatology required.

Nice To Haves

  • Procedural dermatology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general dermatology patient care as a mid-level provider, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
  • Manage a broad range of dermatologic conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rashes, lesions, and skin cancer concerns.
  • Perform appropriate office-based dermatology procedures within scope of practice and experience, such as biopsies and other minor procedures.
  • Collaborate with the supervising dermatologist, on-site Mohs surgeon, clinical team, and administrative staff to ensure efficient, patient-centered care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely with support from scribes and clinical administrative team members.
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, prevention, medication use, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain strong relationships with patients, referring providers, and the local community.
