About The Position

St. Mary’s Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Dermatologist to establish and lead our dermatology practice. As a vital part of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive dermatologic care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible Dermatologist licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New York
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient-centered communication skills
  • Adherence to Standard Precautions and utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in establishing a new practice or program development is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a new dermatology practice within St. Mary’s Healthcare.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of skin conditions, including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
  • Perform dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and other minor surgical interventions.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide patient education and counseling, ensuring patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.
  • Stay current with emerging treatments and advancements in dermatology.
  • Engage in community outreach and education programs to promote skin health.
