About The Position

The University of Michigan seeks a Mohs Surgeon, BC/BE in Dermatology, for a full-time role in Troy, Michigan. This position involves developing a Troy-based Mohs surgery practice with academic affiliation and departmental collaboration. The role offers the opportunity to help launch services in a brand-new outpatient setting, with a focus primarily on Mohs surgery (100% Mohs preferred). The physician will build a referral base within Troy and the surrounding community, serving as the sole Mohs provider at the Troy location. The practice is in a brand-new Troy outpatient facility opening in Spring 2027. The role is full-time, involving 8-9 half-day sessions per week, with an expected 10-12 cases per day at full ramp-up. The physician will receive approximately 60%-70% internal referrals, plus network and community referrals. The practice offers community-based autonomy in a lower-complexity suburban setting, with an academic appointment with the University of Michigan. Collaboration is available through virtual consultation and pathology review, and participation in tumor boards and departmental conferences across the system is expected.
