The Civil Rights Investigations Coordinator is an individual contributor who serves as a lead investigator and Deputy Title IX Coordinator and oversees all aspects of investigations by the Office for Access & Title IX, including training investigators, ensuring processes and procedures are followed, reviewing investigation plans and reports, monitoring the investigation process to improve efficiency and remove barriers to the process, and conducting investigations. This individual will also oversee the intake/triage process of Title IX and civil rights reports and ensure each report receives an appropriate response. The position reports to the Title IX Coordinator. The Civil Rights Investigations Coordinator works with all institutional populations, including students, faculty, staff, contractors, patients, affiliates, and campus visitors to ensure there is a timely and effective response to all concerns of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, bias, sexual misconduct (including sexual violence), and related concerns. The Civil Rights Investigations Coordinator also develops and implements educational programs regarding discrimination and sexual harassment prevention; ensuring faculty, staff, and students understand their rights and, where applicable, responsibilities under the law. This position also supports activities and initiatives designed to foster a climate of nondiscrimination and advances inclusivity throughout the UT Southwestern campus community. This position is under a hybrid work schedule with three days in office / two days remote after initial training period.
