The Deputy Superintendent of Academics and Instruction serves as a key member of the Superintendent's Executive Cabinet and is responsible for leading the district's instructional vision, academic strategy, and continuous improvement efforts. This leader provides oversight of Curriculum and Instruction, Multilingual Learner Education (MLE), Data, Accountability and Assessment (DAAT), Innovation, and Athletics to ensure the alignment of systems, resources, and supports with the district's Instructional Core in service of high levels of student achievement. The Deputy Superintendent leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a coherent instructional framework centered on the district's Instructional Core, promoting rigorous, culturally responsive, and equitable learning experiences for all students. Through strategic leadership, data-driven decision making, professional learning, and cross-departmental collaboration, the Deputy Superintendent ensures consistency in instructional practice across schools and advances academic excellence, student outcomes, and organizational effectiveness throughout the district.
