This position involves performing protective service work, including enforcing laws, patrolling assigned areas, investigating criminal activity, serving civil papers, ensuring public safety, testifying in court, maintaining records, and preparing reports. The work is performed under the limited supervision of the Field Operations Supervisor. Essential functions include operating a patrol car to observe violations and suspicious activities, responding to calls for assistance, serving warrants and making arrests, investigating crimes, enforcing traffic and criminal laws, preparing levies on property, transporting prisoners, supervising trainees, providing law enforcement assistance to outside agencies, maintaining equipment, attending training, performing community service, and court duties.
