About The Position

The Wasatch County Deputy Sheriff Merit Commission is recruiting for Deputy Sheriff and Corrections Officer positions. Testing is pending to establish a hiring roster for regular openings. The selection process includes a physical training exam (pass/fail based on POST Academy standards), a written test, a panel interview, and a Sheriff's Interview. A passing score of 70% is required for each test. Eligible applicants are placed on a list in order of their overall score. When a position becomes available, the Wasatch County Sheriff's Office selects a candidate from the top three eligible applicants. Additional credit may be awarded for military service and post-secondary education. Requirements

Pass a physical training exam based on POST Academy standards.

Meet entry-level requirements for Deputy Sheriff or Corrections Officer.
